Field Roast Plant Based Celebration Roast review

I’m not from Sunday dinner roast culture. What the F is a roast? I really don’t know. I mention this because if you’re looking for a comparison to actual roast, I can’t provide that from even a childhood memory. In fact, it’s the only vegan roast I’ve come across.

That being said, Field Roast’s Plant Based Celebration Roast is quite the delight. I must confess I was initially confused by it – I’ve only ever had similar looking things that were meant to emulate turkey. It took me a while to wrap my head around the idea that this was meant to emulate beef.

However, the confusion does not end there. You’ll see on the box it reads, “Crafted with sage, garlic and bread stuffing with porcini mushroom gravy.” Observe:

I apologize for this photograph – it doesn’t really work for the application I’ve put upon you. Nevertheless, I ask you, do you see any stuffing at the center of the roast? Or anywhere? Again, perhaps I just don’t understand what they’re executing here.

Anyway, it’s quite tasty. On to the gravy!

The porcini mushroom gravy is wonderful and they’ve provided more than you need for the roast – at least in my judgement. My ignorance rears its head again as I’m not familiar with porcini mushrooms, but I found it to be of delightful flavor and consistency. It pairs well with potatoes, too.

So I’ll sum up with a solid recommendation for Field Roast’s Plant Based Celebration Roast. Check it out and have an old fashioned Sunday dinner.
