They did it. THEY BROUGHT VEGAN PIZZA TO MY HOUSE!
OK, so I should tell you right off the bat that I’m the sort of person who gets excited about the mere notion of pizza. I bleed marinara, cry olive oil tears, all that jazz. This means I’m always on the lookout for vegan pizza to try, but DELIVERY? This is a new experience for me. Somebody brought a vegan CHEESE pizza to my house!
Also, It’s great pizza. The sauce, the crust, they got the cheese to melt just right – I LOVE IT. Thank you, Zio’s Pizza of Little Ferry! You can find them on the web here – I ordered via the Slice App, which was a good experience. They also have a sandwich they label as vegan which I have not yet tried, and they have a salad that’s PROBABLY vegan, but you never know when someone is going to throw cheese on something as a garnish, so I’d call them and ask. Also, please note that while the vegan cheese pizza does appear on the Slice App’s menu for Zio’s, I am not currently seeing it listed on their website. But don’t worry – it’s real.
We got a large pizza (I think that’s 16 inch – just vegan cheese) and a 12 inch pizza with some veggies. Again, great stuff. Zio’s is going into the regular rotation.
Also, we decided to try some toppings and man, the tomatoes are GOOD! Maybe they marinated them in some olive oil? I’m not sure, but yeah, we recommend the tomato topping.
So yeah, Zio’s Pizza in Little Ferry: run, don’t walk!

JUST TO BE CLEAR: Zio’s Pizza offers vegan items, but is not strictly a vegan restaurant. They might have some other accidental vegan items I didn’t mention, but you can’t just order whatever like you can at, say, Veggie Heaven in Teaneck.
